Amur Tiger Poster The Amur Tiger (Panthera tigris altaica) also called the Siberian, Altaic, Korean, North Chinese or Ussuri tiger, is a rare and critically endangered subspecies of tiger. Almost all wild Siberian tigers live the Amur region in the Southeast corner of Russia. They are the largest of the tiger species and can grow up to 13 feet in length and weigh up to 700 lbs. The Siberian tiger preys primarily on wild boar and red deer, which make up 65-90% of its diet.
